When Modbus TCP/IP communication is required, the MVI56E-MNETC/MNETCXT module is undoubtedly your optimal choice. This enhanced Modbus TCP/IP communication module enables ControlLogix programmable automation controllers (PACs) to seamlessly connect with Modicon programmable automation controllers (PACs) and multiple Modbus TCP/IP server-compatible instruments and devices.
The multi-client module supports up to 30 clients when multiple servers are present on a Modbus TCP/IP network, enhancing performance. It also supports up to 20 server connections, enabling communication with other DCS and SCADA systems. Both client and server functions can operate simultaneously, and the module can also function as a powerful data concentrator.
The MVI56E-MNETC and MVI56E-MNETCXT share identical functionality. The MVI56E-MNETCXT is designed for standard process applications. The MVI56E-MNETCXT is specifically engineered for the XT Logix control platform, enabling operation in extreme environments. This module operates at higher ambient temperatures and features a protective coating to withstand harsh or corrosive conditions.
Enhanced MVI56E capabilities include configuration and management through the module's Ethernet port, while CIPconnect technology bridges ControlNet and EtherNet/IP networks.
